Faith
Faith is major part of our walk with God. Without faith you cannot please God, and what is not done in faith is sin. You cannot have rest and peace in your life without faith but with faith you can do all things including entering eternal life with Jesus, our Savior and Lord.
Faith often couples itself to other heavenly words such as hope. You can’t have faith if hope is no where to be found. Faith and hope walk together. Faith also needs patience if you desire to inherit the promises of God. And you can’t get saved by faith alone; faith needs grace to make the first move. When faith tries to go it alone without asking in prayer it is bound to fail. Another companion of faith is works. When faith doesn’t take works along, faith is dead, while faith and love is alive.
Faith comes from the author and perfection of our faith, Jesus Christ, through giving ourselves to hearing and acting on the Word of God. Faith starts out as small as a mustard seed but grows larger than a mountain! Faith is as big as God Himself and God has given everyone enough faith to be saved by grace.
Faith can grow by praying in the Holy Spirit and decrease when living by sight. Faith can be dead without prayer and made alive again with grace. Faith is always at rest but also pressing forward into the promises of God. Faith is not faith unless it returns to it’s creator with mission accomplished.
Faith is a container for God’s blessing and this is why faith has plenty of enemies. Not believing in the absolutes of this world will never lead you to believe in an absolute God. Seeking all the accolades of man rather than the simple approval of God in Christ Jesus will defeat your faith. Demanding God to show you signs before you believe will always keep faith in the far right corner.
Faith can grow weary and lose heart but we can turn the faith fight in our favor by returning our gaze upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
If you desire more faith in your life then please read through these scriptures. I have highlighted the meat of the scripture for you. I have found reading though the highlights and the full scriptures that are not highlighted to be of great benefit to growing my faith in thoughtful meditation and prayer.
Once you have greater revelation then go back and read the whole scripture for the context and your faith will even grow all the more. How much do you want your faith to grow? Well, I have planted the seed in this book and now it is up to you to water it everyday until you are satisfied. May your faith always be in God alone; be blessed!
